Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer role based in Orotina. The CNC Programmer will create, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for machining high-precision medical components, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing technical drawings, selecting tools and machining strategies, setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines, and performing test runs to validate programs. The role involves collaborating with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve manufacturing processes, reduce scrap, and maintain compliance with internal and customer standards. The CNC Programmer will also monitor production performance, make adjustments as needed, and support continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
Qualifications
- Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and engineering blueprints.
- Proficiency in CNC Programming and general programming for machining applications.
- Hands-on experience with machining processes, including milling and related CNC operations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Experience in medical device or high-precision components manufacturing is an advantage.
- Familiarity with CNC programming software and shop-floor measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a production team, communicate clearly, and follow safety and quality procedures.
- Relevant technical education or vocational training in machining, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering is preferred.
