Each year, the Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) trade expo makes itself at home in Minneapolis. The event brings together leading innovators and manufacturers in the medical device space for the region’s most comprehensive event; the location was strategically chosen due to the proximity to “Medical Alley,” a region in Minnesota that boasts internationally renowned companies in the healthcare and medical device space like Medtronic, BSCI, Abbott, Philips, and TE.
For 2023, MD&M focused on technology impacting cardiovascular health, 3D printing, and robotics. The event, which took place on October 10th and 11th, shed light on key topics that companies supplying the medical device industry, like Medical Component Specialists, should have on their radar for the future.
Sessions discussed things such as new and emerging regulations, medical device design and development, supply chains, and challenges facing the industry. As such, MCS was excited to be an exhibitor at the esteemed event. In line with the event, we proudly showcased our newest technologies for the medical device space: PTFE glass mandrels, PTFE glass tubings, and PTFE grooved, slotted, and tapered mandrels.
These PTFE-based products are favored by medical device OEMs looking for products that offer superior biocompatibility, inertness, and precision. In addition, our commitment to providing new, innovative medical device components to our clients helps them keep pace with an industry that continues to evolve at a rapid pace. This is one of the many reasons why MCS has earned a reputation as a trusted supplier to medical OEMs worldwide.
If you missed the event this year, make sure you get MD&M Minneapolis on your calendar for next year, when it will take place on October 16th and 17th, 2024.
